A Cameron resident checking on a grave site Thursday morning discovered a substantial

amount of criminal mischief perpetrated against historic headstones and grave markers

at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron, a press release from Cameron Police Chief Randy

Dixon said. The damage was primarily in one area of the cemetery and the most damage

was done to large vertical monuments, which date to the 1890s. Police are asking for

the public’s help in identifying those responsible.
