county Sept Term A.D. 1878
In the name and by the
authority of the State of
Texas:
E. L. Antony, County
Attorney, in and for the
County of Milam, in the
State of Texas,(affidavit
having first been made by
I. R. Glenn, a credible
person, and filed in this
cause, as the law
requires), doth now present
himself in said court and
give said court to
understand and be informed
that Ansolem Osborne whose
full name is unknown late
of the County of Milam,
laborer, on the 19th Day of
August A.D. 1878, with
force and arms in the said
County of Milam and State
of Texas, did then and
there unlawfully wilfully
and wantonly maim and wound
two certain head of cattle
same being true and true
(sp) dumb animals within
the meaning of the statute.
Contrary to the form of the
statute in such cases made
and provided, and against
the peace and dignity of
the State.

authority, this day
personally appeared I. R.
Glenn who after being by
me duly sworn, on oath,
deposes and says, that on
the 19th day of August in
the year of our Lord One
Thousand Eight Hundred and
Seventy Eight in said
county of Milam and State
of Texas, one Ansolum
Osborn whose full name is
unknown laborer, late of
said county and State.
With force and arms did
then and there unlawfully
wilfully and wantonly maim
and wound two certain head
of cattle, same being true
and true dumb animals
within the meaning of the
statute.
Contrary to the form of
the stature in such cases
made and provided, and
against the peace and
dignity of the State.
Sworn to and subscribed
before me, this the 20th
day of August A.D. 1878

We the jury find the defendant guilty as charged and assess his punishment at a
fine of one Dollar.
