Eager to see the museum, especially the miniature replica of Cameron. I hope to bring young family members before school starts again.
Need to know your hours of operation, and dates you will be open in next two weeks.
Thanks a million,
Bob

I am hoping to make a day trip to Cameron and Maysfield before public schools start again, bringing my 14 year old cousin twice-removed. He has never seen the many sites where our ancestors set their first roots in Texas after Civil War. The Museum would be a wonderful feature of the trip.
If the trip cannot occur before school starts again, we will need the ordinary schedule for the Museum, so we can plan our trip.
Worst case, perhaps a special showing, 1 hour or less, could be arranged. I would insist on paying a gratuity or making a donation.

Our visit at Museum + city in miniature + jail was simply wonderful.
Charles King made it interesting, answered every question in detail, and made us feel right at home.
Thanks for helping make this possible.

Bob, I'm glad that I was able to help coordinate your family's visit. Charles' 30 year knowledge of the museum and Milam County is phenomenal. His fingerprints are on every item at all three locations. Charles is very gifted and you surely noted that during your tour. What you probably aren't aware of is his culiniary, painting, gardening, designing and even musical skills.
If he had the time he would even have played the old pump organ for your family. I have yet to find the limit to his talents.
On behalf of the Milam County Historical Museum, we hope that you and your family come back and visit us and your ancestral roots again soon.
