Hello MCHC,
I grew up in Rockdale, and graduated from RHS in 1996. I recently moved back to Rockdale - heard about the historic Wallis brick house burning, and was very disheartened. I always had a fascination towards the old mansion. I would drive by and look at it from time to time - wishing it could be restored and preserved - wishing I could see what it looked like on the inside. I never did get to see the inside.
I plan to attend the estate sale May 6th - hopefully I will be able to speak to someone there about any remaining preservation and salvage efforts. I am assuming the estate sale is at the actual Wallis house location?
I would also be interested in taking pictures and video if possible - of anything I am allowed to relating to the Wallis house - for archives before complete demolition.
